2024 DECEMBER LUNCHEON
Our December luncheon commenced with a mini craft fair. Many of our members provided unique, original and wonderfully crafted items. Proceeds from the fair ($375) was donated to the Fox Valley United Way to aid their holiday family assistance program. Thank you to our member crafters and to our members who found that special item.
Adding to the festivities of this holiday luncheon, our annual cookie exchange was a huge success. The variety of cookies was amazing as well as very tasty.
Several years ago, our ASC (AARTA Supports Communities) started the Christmas Giving Tree. The purpose of which was to collect mittens, gloves, scarves, and socks. These items were donated to Aurora's Community in Schools Project.
After a short business meeting, a delicious luncheon buffet was served.
The program for today's luncheon was a performance by The Fox Valley Festival Chorus. This group is celebrating its 75th year of musical enjoyment. They have performed around the world and will be performing at Notre Dame in the near future.
We celebrated December and January birthdays and held our 50/50 raffle. Proceeds from the raffle ($175) were added to our scholarship endowment fund administered by the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley.
