DECEMBER 2022 LUNCHEON
Happy Holidays to all our AARTA members & families. We have closed out 2022 with our last luncheon for 2022 bidding a fond farewell to the Gaslite Manor - George, John, Dianne and the wonderful staff.
The December luncheon began with a "first" for AARTA members. We had our first Craft Fair with member crafters providing an array of handmade items -- jewelry, pot holders, wood ornaments, mittens made from wool sweaters, gift cards, photos and much more. The proceeds from the craft show provided a $265 donation to the United Way's Family Assistance Program.
Our ASC program received an estimated 500 items (mittens, scarves, socks, ear muffs...) that will be donated to Aurora's Community in Schools program.
We had our usual business meeting..enjoyed an excellent buffet of fried chicken, roast beef, fetichinni alfredo, cesaer salad and more yummies. Dessert was a double yummy -- peppermint ice cream with members providing homemade cookies.
The New England Congregational Bell Choir provided seasonal music while we enjoyed the buffet and afterwards. Very very enjoyable!
Our 50/50 Raffle netted $200 for our scholarship. Other raffle items were "free" meal tickets and several meals.
Can't forget our birthday wishes & songs for our members with birthdays in December & January.
We bid farewell to the Gaslite however, we will say hello to the Lincoln Inn (our new home). Mark your calendar for February 7 - our first luncheon of 2023.
