2023 APRIL LUNCHEON
Our April Luncheon saw the first of a new tradition - Cheri Sager organized a Silent Auction of items donated by AARTA members/friends...the auction raised an outstanding $500 which will be donated to the Salvation Army.
We welcomed as guest speakers - Katrina Boatright from the City of Aurora. Katrina provided a wealth of information about senior services available to seniors by Aurora.
Amanda Busljita and Maggie O'BrienKatrina from the Kane County District Attorney's Office spoke about the issues facing seniors relative to identity theft, fraud and scams and how not to become a victim.
ASC collected books and cash donations (to purchase books) which will be donated to the food pantries.
Our 50/50 Raffle benefited our AARTA Scholarship Endowment Fund. Our scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley.
