(AARTA Supporting Kids)
The AARTA in 2013 began an exciting new community outreach program, and you are invited to participate.
At our February luncheon, we collected crayons and pencils for McCleery School--West Aurora, District 129.
At the April Luncheon, we collected 24-count Crayola Crayons, 12-inch rulers with centimeters noted, and glue sticks--the recipient was East Aurora's Hermes School.
We hope you will be able to join us in making a difference for students in our area as well as introducing AARTA to active teachers and the community.
Starting with our October 2013 luncheon - glue sticks, post-it-notes and pencils will be collected and donated to Louise White School, Batavia District 101.
OCTOBER, 2016
Rotollo Middle School, Batavia, Illinois RMS was the designated recipient of the October, 2016 A.S.K. service project. Carla Schuster, of RMS contacted Cetta Baltz & Kathy Novata, regarding a project that RMS would like to do -- create a "Little Library" that would be constructed in the lobby of the middle school. Student ambassadors will be trained to monitor the borrowing and return of the books. Mrs. Marlene Rotollo, wife of Sam Rotollo, former principal of RMS was so impressed with the idea of the Little Library - "Sam's Doghouse" that she contributed the furniture that became the base of the "doghouse"... At our December luncheon, members donated books and money to be used in the creation of the Little Library - Sam's Doghouse. |
